Wonkette and many others are tipping the hand many have forecasted for weeks. "Crossfire" on CNN is being recycled and Tucker Carlson is being denied the new show he feels he's earned. And so, for the first discernible time, Jon Stewart sticks a fork in someone's career (deny it all you wish, but Stewart's historic deflating of Tucker's standing was the beginning of the end). Good riddance, Tucker. The only thing you ever did that I appreciated was your introductory piece on Dubya in Tina Brown's failed "Talk" magazine's first issue. Since then, you've been a most irritating talking head. Quite possibly THE most. Not that your co-hosts will be missed either. Good luck finding that prime-time slot.
