With a few high level folks pulling out of the running, the options left on the table for Dems look pretty limited. As it stands currently (according to the WashingtonPost), you've got Martin Frost, former Denver mayor Wellington E. Webb, New Democrat Network founder Simon B. Rosenberg and party strategist Donnie Fowler. Howard Dean's not officially in the race, but is still exploring his options. And according to the Post, "(s)ome Democrats continue to talk about trying to entice (Terry "It's Not My Fault") McAuliffe to extend his tenure, particularly if no current candidate catches fire." In short, no knight on that mythical white horse has entered the fray as of yet. Hell, at this point party loyalists I'd expect would be willing to expect a pawn in a Prius. If there's a true indication of the lack of ideological heft in the Party, this most surely cuts to that chase.
