Dean's Dream Gathers Steam?

OK, no surprise here - Howard Dean's thrown his hat formally into the ring to be head of the DNC. Will he win? My opinion is an emphatic, nuh-uh. Smart guy, that Ho-Ho. Great cut-through-the-shitter, too. But as DNC Chair, he would suck big-time. The job requires a party operative to be all about pulling together disparate factions and raising money. Dean was, instead, all about causing disparate factions and spending money. I'll admit it openly - I love the fella. But he's the worst possible candidate at this point in time. Hopefully, the "Anyone But Dean" coalition will truly coalesce. Given the Dems recent history, though, I certainly expect that Dean's acceptance speech will be an interesting moment to behold in the New Century of the Party.

According to one of the funnier (intentionally?) misinformed stories I've read in years, Sasha Cohen appears to have one-upped his insulting persona recently at a rodeo in Virginia. For those of you unfamiliar with Da Ali G's show, Borat almost always steals the show. In this case, it appears as though he barely escaped with his life. Can't wait for that episode next season.
